Sian is a feminist producer, with two decades spent managing development content for young people across the globe. With over 20 years’ production experience at the BBC as a journalist, executive producer, editor and senior manager, Sian has managed the development of strategy, operations, editorial content and delivery of on-air programming, new radio networks and numerous multi-platform projects. Sian also ran an independent fostering agency, where she was responsible for business development, finance, safeguarding, HR and operations. Sian heads up Operations for Purposeful.
She has worked across TV, radio, film, online, live events, print and mobile and negotiated and managed large-scale creative projects with the Serpentine Gallery, The National Portrait Gallery, The National Theatre, V&A, London Fashion Week, The British Film Institute, Bafta and many more. Her international work with Girl Effect, The British Council and DFID has seen her manage projects and events in Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Peru and China that promote global conversations and project new norms about the power and potential of adolescent girls at scale.
