Mahjabeen Naaz

Mahjabeen is from Kolkata, India. She is 22 years old and lives in a community in Rajabazar. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree and is pursuing a masters in social work.

She is the core member of Roshni which is a youth group for by young girls in her community. All the core members are girls and they also reach peers adolescent girls in the community empowering them towards their rights.

She has experience of working as a youth mentor or peer educator with other external organizations.

Through her volunteering and working with organizations she has an understanding of rights including womens rights, child rights. She also has experiencing working on gender equality and different forms of inequality and violence faced by women and girls.
