Loma holds a Masters Degree in Development Management from the Institute for Public Management and Administration – IPAM (USL) and a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Fourah Bay College (USL). She acquired a wide experience in addressing violence against children, sexual and gender based violence and community mobilization as paralegal at the Justice and Peace Commission (JPC).

She joined the Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender and Children’s Affairs in 2014. As Senior Social Services Officer she has an in depth knowledge and enhanced skills in the protection and wellbeing of children, family mediation and psychosocial counselling and dealing with victims of abuse.

She is a master trainer in the national life skills manual and has also done trainings in other areas like child rights, child protection, violence against children, family tracing and reunification, psychosocial and first aid, counselling, and child justice.
She worked at the protection desk at Pentagon/Kamayama during the 2017 mudslide and flooding. She has a deep passion for the wellbeing of children and girls and strongly believes that we can only have a better and peaceful society if children and girls are protected and empowered to become better adults.
