Boikanyo is a feminist researcher and monitoring, evaluation & learning (MEL) specialist from Botswana. She has worked as a MEL officer at the Forum for African Women Educationalists a Pan-African girls education NGO based in Kenya, then at FRIDA | The Young Feminist Fund [virtually]. Most recently Boikanyo has worked as an independent consultant with a number of girls and women’s funds, strengthening their MEL using a feminist lens as well as on research projects on funding for girls and young women, she continues to do this work alongside her role at Purposeful. Boikanyo holds a Masters degree in Multi-disciplinary Gender Studies from the University of Cambridge (UK). In addition, she holds a Masters degree in International Relations, an Honours degree in Development Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Politics, Public Policy & Administration and Economic History all from the University of Cape Town.
