Vsegda Vmeste was set up to bring dignity to the lives of Chechen girls and women and to raise a new generation that will defend their human rights. Its mission is to empower girls and young women by offering them psycho-social support and providing them with information on their legal rights. Vsegda Vmeste focuses on the well-being of girls and young women from the ages of seven to 25. It works with parents and schools to raise awareness of girls’ rights, with a special focus on the more remote mountain regions of Chechnya. The organisation runs interactive study sessions to help equip girls with the skills of self-awareness, self-determination, leadership and critical thinking, as well as fostering their personal and professional development. It provides training in leadership and equality and teaches them how to identify harmful practices. It coaches girls on the importance of education and personal safety and shows them how to develop their creative abilities. Vsegda Vmeste also introduces its participants to female journalists, human rights defenders, artists, writers and doctors who can serve as positive role models. All programmes are designed sensitively, taking into account Chechnya’s particular traditional characteristics, to increase their chances of success.
