Mamaye Community Advocacy group

Mamaye Community Advocacy group is a community based Organisation established in 2015 to address maternal death in the community due to early and forced marriage and teenage pregnancy. In the year 2012-2015 they focused on creating safe clinics to improve maternal death. Upon receiving funds from Purposeful, they established safe spaces for adolescent girls where girls access life skills lessons, livelihood support (vegetable gardens) SGBV, sexual reproductive health and rights information and services(family Planning). Girls are also part of theatre for development groups, which use local language for public health and education campaigns to reduce teenage pregnancy, early marriage, and maternal mortality among adolescent girls.
