JungLesbenZentrum project was established in 1998 as a women only, multi-generational safe room in Hamburg. The project focuses on empowering and supporting lesbian, bi and trans women as well as raising awareness of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) and women’s rights. This centre currently acts as a safe space for young lesbians and bi-sexual women to get together, talk, cook, plan activities and organise events.
