Intersex Greece was set up by the mother of an XXY child in 2013. In 2017, it embodied all intersex conditions and was named Intersex Greece. Since then, it has been growing fast with over 220 members that include intersex persons, parents and caregivers, specialised health professionals, and LGBTQI+ activists. The group’s goal is to soon become an official organisation, promoting intersex awareness and human rights in Greek society, including in parliament, education, and with health practitioners, and enhancing the quality of life for all our members.
