Faldas-R was born in Caracas (Venezuela) in 2011 with the aim of creating a positive and concrete impact on women and girls’ sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in Venezuela. They run the Safe Abortion Information Hotline, through which they provide safe and free information about the voluntary termination of pregnancy using medication. They also provide face-to-face accompaniment to women who want a self-managed abortion. They also design and implement SRHR educational strategies for women in both urban and rural areas, as well as virtual strategies amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
