Colectivo de Mujeres Defensoras de la Vida y el Territorio is a group of indigenous young women from the town of Pathuitz in the municipality of Chilón in Chiapas, Mexico. The group is mostly made up of young women under the age of 19 with disabilities who formed to fight and defend their rights as indigenous women and girls. As a group they seek to eliminate gender violence, discrimination and racism that they are experiencing as indigenous women and especially those with disabilities. The group seeks to accompany indigenous people who have been victims of some type of violence, to ensure their voices are heard and valued.
