For 27 years, the Asociación para la promoción y desarrollo de la comunidad CEIBA has accompanied the historically vulnerable population in Guatemala. The Asociación promotes community organization, food sovereignty, solidarity economy, defense of the body-land territory, and the defense of the rights of women. The health crisis caused by Covid-19 has exacerbated historical problems in the country, as the barriers to access to formal education. Therefore the CEIBA association seeks to support a group of 17 girls and adolescents to guarantee their continuity in the school cycle, through financial support for tuition, food purchases, and attention to basic hygiene needs. With this, they seek to strengthen their self-esteem and their perspective of life in the future.
