Asociación Movimiento de Mujeres por Nuestros Derechos Humanos MOMUNDH

Nicaragua

Asociación Movimiento de Mujeres por Nuestros Derechos Humanos (MOMUNDH) works to prevent gender-based violence and promotes the sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) of adolescent girls in Villa El Carmen, Nicaragua. MOMUNDH was created in 2006 by a group of archaeology students from impoverished backgrounds who, after taking courses on gender and women’s human rights, decided to begin working with women from marginalised communities. MOMUNDH’s activities are designed to involve girls and build their emotional intelligence to encourage them to become active citizens.
